Today is India’s 75th Independence Day, and I thought to write something unique like last year. Last year, I was new to blogging and that was my 5th blog. I had a fire and desire to write something interesting, and I got that idea randomly.

If you are now curious to read my last year’s 15th August blog, then check this out ⇾ The Tri-colour in food

Oh, sorry; I totally forgot about this year’s blog. This year, India marks its 75th Year of Independence. I think that’s really a big thing. I thought a lot about what I needed to write for this special day. Then suddenly, My shrewd mind gave me the idea for this fantastic blog.

So, without further ado, let’s discuss the things which you should get freedom from.

#1 Freedom from Bad habits

God knows, what kind of scary thing she’s watching anyway.

There are so many bad habits of ours that are harming our health. I think we need freedom from those habits. Bad habits like binge-watching, smoking, drinking, late-night eating, etc. These habits may sound relaxing to you now, but in the long run, these are harming you and your beautiful body.

We really need freedom from these habits. Our bodies are limitless, and these habits are actually limiting us.

“The thoughts and opinions expressed in this article are personal”. That’s the line I have learnt from my favourite blogger. Check out this blog to know some healthy habits ⇾ Healthy habits for a healthy life

#2 Freedom from avoiding the workout

I have mentioned this several times, why workout is important to us. Yet, some people still avoid it. We really need freedom from this mentality. By workout, I don’t mean you have to lift weights or do push-ups. You just need to do any activity, that is burning some calories for you and at the same time, is enjoyable. Activities like walking, dancing, swimming, yoga etc are the perfect examples.

FGW suggest you to get freedom from the excuse of not doing exercise and procrastinating it for the future. Change starts today. Your actions today will make your tomorrow happier.

After reading this blog, make a plan on how and when you will include a workout. And, how you will get freedom from avoiding the workout.

This blog of FGW will guide you a bit ⇾ How to start an exercise routine

#3 Freedom from toxicity

Recently, a fellow blogger told me that “they don’t appreciate positive Toxicity”. At first, I was confused, then I searched for what does it even mean. Then I thought about why they told that to me anyway.

Toxicity is a kind of behaviour that is harming your emotional wellbeing. Any kind of Toxicity is actually very harmful to you.

Personally speaking, it’s hard to understand toxicity, because people may look good in the beginning. But, if anything is bothering you, making you upset, putting you down or putting you in a doubt. Then, that toxicity is draining you.

Although, I am still trying to figure out what positive toxicity or passive-aggressive (another beautiful appreciation by another blogger) has to do with me. But, if you notice anything odd or depressing around you, you need freedom from that. I also had a person in my life, I named them parasite. Around them, I was never happy and with their endless depressive talk, I felt a lot of depression. It took me a while to understand it, but I got rid of them (No, I haven’t killed them).

#4 Freedom from disrespecting people

Although my niche doesn’t allow me to talk much about this, But, I will still say a few things about it.

We really need freedom from a mentality that disrespect, abuse, or hurt other people. By people, I meant Women, Men, Old, Young, Children, LGBTQ and everyone else. I hear about horrendous things happening to people and that makes me sad. I think we really need freedom from this mentality where we disrespect people.

We talk about equality, we talk about women’s rights, we talk about evenness, but are we following that? Are we seeing proper respectful behaviour towards women, elders, and children?

Look, I’m not trying to say my readers disrespect anyone, But I think, we need a positive change towards a direction, Where women are comfortable and happy, Where elders get proper respect, Where children are able to educate themselves happily, Where LGBTQ can move freely without any questioning eyes, and Where people can work in a conducive environment.

Hey, the blog got tensed. Let me lighten it up by wishing every Indian a Happy Independence Day. Let me know in the comments section how are you celebrating this day. If you are not from India, then let me know what freedom means to you. Indians are also welcome to share their opinion. And what are a few other things you think we need freedom from?

I hope you don’t say you need freedom from my blogs.

  6. Your today’s blog is as amazing as previous ones.
I have a bad habit which is eating late night bc when I study in night I used to eat almost daily.. I don’t know how to change it.
Also, I don’t do any kind of workout but as you mention enjoyable activities I do walk with my mom at least 30 minutes.
I’m glad I don’t have any toxic or disrespectful people around me and wish you don’t have that ” Parasite ” In your like anymore..

Happy independence day to you.. 😊

    1. I think walking for 30 mins is fine.
Try pranayama in morning. It will calm your mind and will help in your studies. Although, At your age you are already have to do a lot. So a walk is sufficient .
Eating late night was a thing I used to do too, when I was in college. Until certain age, it can be done. 😁
Thank you so much for appreciation.
      .
      Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳🎈

  9. Freedom from your blogs.. that’s scary 😱😂
    Btw.. Interesting read!!
I guess its 75th anniversary of independence day or we can say 76th year of independence.. Correct me if i am wrong 😅

    1. 75 years of freedom
      But 76th.
Actually 75 is promoted a lot. Like
      आजादी के 75 साल।
      Internet says both, 75 and 76 😛

      1. Yeah… Right😅

  10. Very happy 75th Independence Day, my friend. I definitely don’t want ‘freedom’ from your blog, Devang. There is always so much to learn about, and I appreciate that. Your posts are always interesting and make me think.

Freedom, for me, means having peace of mind and having the ability to do what I’m comfortable doing and stretching myself when that feels right, too. It means spending my time how I want to spend it and deciding who I want to spend my time with. They might sound like odd descriptions of freedom, but I guess it means different things to different people.

I think, like you, everyone should be respectful of others. No one person is better than the next one. The world would be a better place if only people were kinder and more understanding towards each other. Our differences are what makes us individuals and interesting people. Take care, Devang, and enjoy the rest of your special day. Ellie 🌞

    1. Hey thank you dear Ellie!!
      You are an angel.
I love your definition of freedom.
Freedom of doing things the way we love is the best way. That’s the right kind of freedom..
      .
If we can work together with love, support and respect. Than, a lot of issues can be solved.
      .
My day is almost over. But, I wish you a beautiful day ahead. Remember to smile ✨

  11. These are all great. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we lived in a world where everyone was treated equally? It would be true euphoria. Thanks for linking to your guest post by the way!

    1. If everyone treats others equally than more opportunities can be created. Many times, poors don’t get opportunity, due to lack of access or discrimination. Women fails to get opportunities, due to lack of respect. So we really need a positive change.
      .
I actually took a risk by using that link, because I had no permission from you. I was scared. But, then lifesfinewhiner took a risk 😅

      1. So true. It’s such a small group of people that have the privilege of opportunity.
        .
Lifesfinewhiners are always encouraged to take calculated risks 😅

      2. 🙏🏼🙇🏻‍♂️

  12. Happy independence India 🎉. Lovely post 🥰

      1. I’m from Nigeria, in Africa 😌

      2. Oh ho!!!
        Nice to meet you.
I have another person who is from Nigeria.
        So nice to meet you.
        I’m ecstatic

      3. Same here 😍

      4. Hey btw a great name for site!!
I want to read your work.
        I will read it peacefully.
Thank you so much for your precious time.
        I really appreciate your support

      5. Always a pleasure 😊

  13. ” I also had a person in my life, I named them parasite. Around them, I was never happy and with their endless depressive talk, I felt a lot of depression.”

I can relate to this. There’s someone I know who no matter when I see her, she only talks about her health problems. She is more than well off to resolve them but doesn’t follow doctor’s orders for eating healthy, etc and still complains about ailments. Now my mind just blocks her out until the subject is changed.

Interesting read Devang, thank you for sharing!

    1. Exactly, the parasite in my life. Talk about their health a lot. They always have some excuse for something. Always complains about weakness or something. Multiple doctors tells them they are fine, still they are always negative. I am now much happier without them in my life.

      1. Yikes, that’s nuts. Some people can’t get out of that negative cycle. Big time energy drainers.

    2. And thank you so much for reading.
Your comments means a lot to me. ☺️
      You are Kind 🙇🏻‍♂️

      1. Aww, you’re most welcome, it’s a pleasure! 😊

  14. Wonderful blog as always Devang, I have a couple bad habits I’m actively trying to get rid of. Happy Independence day 🇮🇳

    1. I am sure, you know how to manage those habits.
      Thank you so much

  15. Happy Independence Day! I love how you connected the thoughts of a country’s independence into the inner independence we all need!

    1. Hey thank you so much for your beautiful comment.
What do you think about thing that we should get freedom from?

      1. I’d love to see more people seeking freedom from their toxic pasts, feeling free to develop self love without worrying they will be criticized, freedom from the habits and products that contribute to the destruction of our planet… not too much!!

      2. I really think that important too….
I should have included about the planet one.
        Great addition.
        Thank you.
        How are you?? 🙂

      3. Lol! My pleasure! Glad to contribute!

  16. Happy Indepence day in India.. Sorry for being late..
The tips you mentioned are great indeed..
In my country we need freedom from Rumours and backbiting and judging others.. Some people in my country misuse their tongue.. Social media sadly helps those people to spread their lies and bad talks. I hope that the public here be more aware to not believe all What they hear.. We should be fair as much as we can..
    Keep giving dear Devang 💐🙏

    1. Misinformation and wrong news is something that we really need freedom from.
      Thanks you so much.
      Keep reading dear Sohair 🌻🙏🏼
